"NIKE AIRFORCE 1 LIVE PAINTING EVENT"

During Art Basel 2016, while painting my "Breathe" tree I receive a last minute call from the talented Jas 9 that an Artist pulled out of a Live Painting Sneaker Event at Simon's Sportswear in Midtown, and she needed someone to fill in.  As always, I support my fellow Artists, so I switched my schedule around and made it happen.  I had no idea what I was in store for and hoped I was prepared for what the PR Coordinator needed.  Upon arrival, I was given 2 pairs of Nike Airforce 1's in a box and was told "Make it Happen....you have a few hours".  With nothing but a freestyle mentality prepared....DJ blasting Hip-Hop.....this is what I was feeling.

 "BREATHE" ORGANIC MURAL IN WYNWOOD
This dead tree was very close to being cut down and discarded, due to insects killing this tree ages ago.  Because wood is my favorite medium to paint on, I asked Mana Contemporary if they would delay discarding the dead tree. They obliged and allowed me to enhance it's beauty by giving it one last voice, before it eventually crumbled and withered away.  I began by removing all the old bark, as high as I could get.  Then I carefully sanded all the paintable surface for a smooth texture.  I then began airbrushing green product primer and paint throughout the tree.  Once I had my background the way I wanted, I began hand-painting a new life of abstract vegetation throughout.  This is titled "Breathe" for the gift each tree on this planet provides "US" a chance to do.  This monument is dedicated to the Sioux Tribe fighting for their land against the Dakota Pipelines, because all they've ever wanted to do was allow their land to naturally "Breathe" without the Bullies of Gov't and the Ideologies of Man.

 "JUNKYARD DOG OF MIAMI"
Painted this in collaboration with France's Infinytoon US Branch.  I wanted to break out of the Art Deco box and create a bio-mechanical type of bulldog, that really symbolizes the tough-like persona that people love this breed for.  Utilizing airbrush and hand-painting techniques, this began in my studio.  Then I painted this Live at the Miami Home Show and received an honorable response!  By far, one of the most unique pieces Infinytoon has in their portfolio.

LIVE PAINTING DURING WYNWOOD'S ARTWALK

This is Swarm Agency's Shipping container.  They had Miami's local band "The Problem Kid's" performing as I painted with aerosol for a few hours.  This is an image from my "Heard" series with an inscription from one of my fav band, the one and only "TOOL".  The inscription is:  "Doomed to crumble unless we grow & strengthen our communication".

CUSTOM 6' x 6' PARKLAND ROCK MURAL FOR CHILDREN'S PLAYROOM

Met this awesome client through a mutual friend.  When we met on-site we had a brief discussion on her Family's passion for all kinds of music, and also their love for Metal-Rock Skulls!  Rock On!  This type of request is right up my alley, so within the next few days I already had a pretty good idea of what would pop on their wall.  Their son loves drums, guitars and piano.  Mom loves all kinds of music and skulls.  Dad is a die-hard UF Grad.  So, I decided to utilize the skull as he focal point and really incorporate all of their Fav instruments and symbolism into it.  This type of innovation and creativity is what I love doing the most!  So the skull has a drum on the top, with a "D" for the Family's Last Name.  The teeth are rustic piano keys.  The guitars symbolize the Electric and Acoustic Guitars they love so much.  I painted the Electric Guitar with UF's Blue and Orange paying homage to Dad's alma mater.  Knocked this one out in less than 20 hours, relentlessly.  Another stoked client!  Enjoy the time lapse video below of the painting progress.

"WYNWOOD ARTWALK BLOCK PARTY LIVE PAINTING, WYNWOOD

Curated by Swarm Event Agency, a fellow Street Artist needed assistance "beautifying" her mural on a shipping container, in which I was happy to assist.  Once I added some soft clouds to her piece, I proceeded to paint for 4 hours straight, turning this shipping container door into one of my signature "Heard" images to add to my portfolio and let Wynwood know, I'm still here!

"WALL BRAWL STREET ART COMPETITION" JAVI STRONG 5K RUN CHARITY, HIALEAH GARDENS

Last minute i get an invite to finally attend the Miami-known Wall Brawl.  Curated by the talented Derek Wilson.  He put together this semi-competition, but mainly to raise some funds for the recent unfortunately injured Javi Strong.  Javi Strong is a South Dade teacher who has touched many, many lives throughout his walk on this Earth, and was recently paralyzed while enjoying his son's Little League Baseball game.  A car jumped the curb and struck him, leaving him paralyzed ever since.  The South West Miami Community came together to create a 5K Fundraiser and Wall Brawl decided to host a Street Art Competition, in which all finished Art would be put up for auction and all proceeds go to Javi and his family.  I jumped on this as quick as I could.  Each of the 10 Artists had only 90 min to complete a comprehensive piece and we all strive to challenge one another.  I decided to do a throwback Cuban-commemoration piece of "Old Cuba" depicting a landscape of Havana, Cuba with a Memorial Statue of Jose Marti with an Old Cuban gentleman puffing on a Cohiba.  Was great to collaborate with Wall Brawl and I hope they invite me again.
