"ANALOG ART 2" CURATED BY YO MIAMI, LITTLE HAITI

The theme was to take vinyl records and customize whatever you wanted to.  My initial focal point piece was a Tribute piece to some of my top Hip-Hop Artists in my personal archives.  I wanted to have the piece look like a primitive turntable, with BC styled-needle and flame, also look like an album cover with symbolism of Yo! MTV Raps, the top Hip-Hop Artists of all time  inside, and carved "HIP-HOP" in the cover.  To make up the "YO! MTV" logo, is did a similar shot out (similar to the way artists depicted their Thanks inside each album cover).  This is what it said:
"The 80's & 90's would like to thank a Higher Power for giving these humans the gift of music, beatz + rhymes.  Thx to the parents + dead beatz who inspired talent to write + rhyme + experiment while channeling their losses + gains.  Thx to the radios, record players, 8-trks, stereos, boomboxes + DJs for pumping the Classics of Funk, R & B, Jazz + Rock to inspire the sampling that gave the continuous rebirth to the younger generations.  As Slim Kid would say, "to all that saw me get beat, who saw me walkin' the street, who saw my yellow-ass teeth, even the ones who had beef.  Fuck, best of luck to this crazy-assed, fucked up industry.  Who won't remember me when I fall the fuck off.  So, now I'll just get my buck off...."  Special thanks to the baddest Pioneers of the Game.  Each hold a class of their own + a special place in our eardrums. (In no particular Order):  A Tribe Called Quest, Black Sheep, Del the Funky Homosapien, Gangstarr, Eric B + Rakim, Geto Boys, N.W.A., De La Soul, The Pharcyde, EPMD, Snoop Dogg, Biggy, 2Pac, Kanye, Wu-Tang, RUN DMC, Slick Rick, Mos Def, Eminem, LL Cool J, 2 Live Crew, Cypress Hill, BDP, Ice-T, Salt -N- Pepa, Outkast, Naughty by Nature, Grand Master Flash + the Furious 5, Public Enemy, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Big Daddy Kane, Heavy D, Hammer, Too Short, Ice Cube, DJ Quik, Fugees, Vanilla Ice, Jay Z, 3rd Base, Young MC, Whodini, Tone Loc, Stetasonic, Souls of Mischief, Poor Righteous Teachers, Leaders of a New School, The Roots, Afrika Bambataa, Redman, Poison Clan, Onyx, K-OS, House of Pain, Fuschnickens, Beastie Boys, Digable Planets
